Mike Dolbear and Al Murray Live at Remo Drummer Night 2017 Playing Cozy Powell's 'Dance with the Devil' Mike Dolbear and Al Murray play Cozy Powell - Remo Drummer Night 2017 During the Remo Drummer Night 2017 Mike Dolbear and Al Murray teamed up to play Cozy Powell's Dance with the Devil. A track that reached #3 in the UK Singles Chart in January 1974. Their performance with the live band (put together by Robbie Williams' drummer Karl Brazil) was joined by a group of teenagers playing Remo percussion and wearing t-shirts of the Teenage Cancer Trust. On September 23rd, 2017 Remo organized the Remo Drummer Night in conjunction with The UK Drum Show. During the evening, 17 drummers put together by Karl Brazil played a different song with an All Star band with top UK musicians. The event has now raised more than £21,000 on behalf of Teenage Cancer Trust.

Mike Dolbear has been a professional drummer for over 30 years. He is the owner of mikedolbear.com and has his own studio in North London teaching and helping many professional students and teachers including Brian Bennett (The Shadows), Cherisse Osei (Mika), Steve Forrest (Placebo) and Emily Dolan Davies (Bryan Ferry/ Tricky).

Al Murray with his alter-ego, The Pub Landlord, is one of the most recognizable and successful comics in the UK. As a -very skilled- drummer he hosted the Zildjian Drummer Achievement Award on December 7, 2008 in London. He is also co-founder of the British Drum Company, the brand he plays in the video. During the 2017 Remo Drummer Night on the Saturday of The UK Drum Show, 17 drummers played a different song with an All Star band put together by Karl Brazil who actually couldn't attend himself because he was in Boston in the USA playing with James Blunt.

Remo Drummer Night 2017 took place during The UK Drum show on Saturday September 23, 2017 in Manchester. Just like the Remo Drummer Night in 2008, the concert was organized to support the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The items that were auctioned the evening included donations from Rob Bourdon (Linkin Park), Will Champion (Coldplay), Nathan Followill (Kings of Leon), Simon Hanson (Squeeze), Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Pink Floyd's Nick Mason, Ian Matthews (Kasabian), Nico McBrain (Iron Maiden), Jamie Morrison (Stereophonics), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Zak Starkey (The Who) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (The Killers).

During Remo Drummer Night Gary played percussion in the All Star band perfoming with the drummers that evening.
