The Musikmesse 2009, Europe\'s biggest music fair and trade show, features many new products, artist performances and signing sessions. As usual the trade fair takes place in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Trade visitor days are from April 1 -3. On April 4, 2009 from 09:00 - 18:00 the Musikmesse is open to the public. Hall 3.0 features acoustic drums, percussion and accessories, hall 5.0 everything for electronic drums. What can you expect?
Artist performances At Hall 3.0 booth A25, Bertram Engel (Peter Maffay, Udo Lindenberg) will perform Saturday (April 4) at 11:00, Chad Wackerman (Frank Zappa, Allan Holdsworth at 13.00, Gulli Briem (Mezzoforte) at 14.30 and René Creemers and Wim de Vries, better known as the Drumbassadors, will perform at 16.00
Most live performances however, will take place at the Agora Stage (festival tent).
Friday April 3, 2009 Among the artists appearing are Mark Schulman (presented by Sabian), Pete Lockett (presented by Remo), Chad Wackerman (presented by DW and Paiste), Rick Latham and Friends (presented by DW, Evans and Pro-Mark), and Martin Verdonk (presented by Tycoon Percussion). Please note that this day is for trade visitors only.
Saturday April 4, 2009 Saturday, the only day open to the public, features live performances by Robby Ameen and Richie Flores at 09:30 (presented by Pearl), Aaron Thier at 10:00 (presented by Anatolian Cymbals and Taye Drums), Derek Roddy and Dave Langguth at 11:30 (presented by Sonor), Simon Phillips at 12:30 (presented by Zildjian), Will Calhoun at 13:00 (presented by Sabian), and Chad Wackerman at 15:30 (presented by DW and Paiste).
Artist signings On Saturday there will also be many artists signing, including Stephen Van Haestregt (Within Temptation), Mikkey Dee (Motörhead), Stefan Arnold (Grave Digger), Jakob Sinn (Revolverheld), Chad Wackerman (Zappa/Holdsworth), all at the Paiste booth (12.00, 14.00, 16.00 hours).
Derek Roddy (Serpents Rise), Mike \"Gomezz\" Gommeringer (Reamonn), Daray Brzozowski (Dimmu Borgir), Jost Nickel (Jan Delay), Benny Greb (Jerobeam), Mike Terrana (Tarja Turunen) and Wolfgang Haffner (Till Broenner) are all part of Meinl\'s autograph line-up.
Arch Enemy drummer Daniel Erlandsson will take part in signing sessions on 12:00 at the Wincent booth and 14:00 at the Sabian booth.
10th MIPA - Musikmesse International Press Award 2009 Over a hundred magazines from all over the world will vote for the best products of 2008/2009 in about 40 categories. The awards will be presented to the winners at a special MIPA-Party/Awards-Ceremony held during Musikmesse / Prolight + Sound tonight on April 2.
Tickets You can buy online tickets via messefrankfurt.com. Tickets to Musikmesse can also be used as tickets for local public transport operated by the regional transport authority, Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund - RMV. Thus, holders of exhibitor and visitor tickets can use all RMV services with no extra charge.
