- Roy Haynes was born March 13, 1925 in Boston, Massachusetts. Nine days after this publication, he turns 95!
- 'Now He Sings, Now He Sobs' is a trio recording with: Chick Corea on piano, Miroslav Vitous on bass and Roy Haynes on drums.
- Drummer Marcus Gilmore is Roy Haynes his grandson and has also played with Chick Corea.
- The track Now He Sings, Now He Sobs, was also performed live by Brian Blade, Chick Corea and Christian McBride. [audio added below]
- Also released in 1968, is Jack DeJohnette's debut album 'The DeJohnette Complex' on which Roy Haynes plays drums and percussion next to DeJohnette.
