Josh Devine is currently 17 years old, but has been playing drums for 13 years. Winning the \'Mapex drummer of tomorrow UK\' (best under 18 category) placed him as the opening act on the second day of Drummer Live! 2008. Indeed, Josh is a promising drummer of whom we will probably hear much more of in the future. With endorsements by Mapex, Vater, Hardcase and Paiste this young talent has already made some serious moves in the music industry. With his band Fandangle he has already toured Europe and continues to take his steps in music. Watch his performance on DL! 2008 below.

Roy Mayorga
Original drummer of Brazilian metal band Soulfly, but nowadays the drummer of Stone Sour, Roy Mayorga gave his first clinic ever at the festival. Although a little insecure before his show, not a beat he played reflected that feeling. Especially with the song Desert Sun he wrote days before the clinic. Yet, the drummer was secure enough to try it out with an exclusive premiere on the Drummer Live stage. On this track, Roy wrote all instruments, and performs it live for the first time. With Roy\'s permission Drummerszone shows you several parts of it. In the third video, Roy gives you a show feel of how Rock ballads are to be played. His drum work on Stone Sour\'s Feels like Forever on stage, gives you one of the best impressions of what needs to be done in such a song for such a band. His dynamic work on the drums, the style and sound of the band remain, even during a clinic. Perhaps Roy - being the artist he his- needs to do clinics more often. The huge crowd at Drummer Live surely loved watching him perform his work!

DRUMMER LIVE 2009
Drummer Live! 2009 takes place on June 13-14 at the Excel Docks in London, UK. With changes in the schedule, this is confirmed list of artists at this years festival.

The Clem Burke Drumming Project
Confirmed at the show is a demonstration from The Clem Burke Drumming Project, organised by the University of Chichester and University of Gloucestershire. They will be explaining the health, well-being and fitness benefits of drumming with guest drummer Darrin Mooney (Primal Scream/ Gary Moore) who will put himself through an incremental drumming test to exhaustion whilst wearing the latest ‘state-of-the-art’ sports science technology. Watch in amazement as he battles to keep pace with the ultimate drum test. This will be an event you will never forget.

Free drum lesson
New to this years show, will be a chance to have a free drum lesson in association with Tech Music Schools
Their 45 minute lessons will be open to visitors of LIMS where you will be able sign up for the classes. Small group lessons will be held on drums, guitar, bass, vocals and keyboards and will be led by some of the best teachers in the industry. The classes are for all levels of players and will cover subjects such as styles, techniques and performance.

Drummer Live is part of the UK’s Biggest Music exhibition, The London International Music show, which includes The London Guitar Show, Unplugged and Sound Recording and Technology Show. It takes place at excel-london.co.uk.
