Drummer Jeroen Simons has decided to part ways with Dutch female-fronted symphonic metallers Epica. Jeroen has decided to concentrate on another musical career. In a statement on the band\'s official web site the remaining band members write: \"We want to thank [Jeroen Simons] for everything he has contributed to the band for the last four years and want to wish him all the best in his new musical career!\"

Epica is currently working on material for their third full-length album, which they expect to begin recording before the end of 2006.
