The Arctic Monkeys, featuring matt Helders on drums, were the big winners at 2007\'s Brit Awards ceremony in London, scooping awards for best British group, and best British album for their debut release \"Whatever People Say I Am, That\'s What I\'m Not\".

Hailing from Las Vegas The Killers, with Ronnie Vannucci Jr. behind the drum kit, also took home two awards: as best international group, and their release \"Sam\'s Town\" as best international album.
The Killers and the Arctic Monkeys were the only acts to pick up more than one award.
Singer-songwriter James Morrison won best British male, soul star Amy Winehouse took home an Award as best British female. US pop star Justin Timberlake picked up best international male, while Canadian star Nelly Furtado won as Award as best international female.
Scottish indie group The Fratellis, with Mince Fratelli (real name: Gordon McRory) on drums, were named best breakthrough act.
