Canadian drummer Terry Lesperance (Windsor, Ontario, 167) started playing drums at age 4, at age 12-13 he joined a marching band. Practiced 8 plus hours everyday for years. He still practices 2-3 hours a day if possible.



Terry Lesperance moved to Nashville for a short time to learn more of the business, especially for studio drumming (what it takes to be first call). He started to work in Detroit with and for the best of the best, considering himself very blessed to be in this area.



Asked what he has learned (music-wise) last year, Terry answers:

"Don’t compromise your abilities, positive attitude, play great gear, be a pro!"

Terry Lesperance has worked with many artists including Claudia DiNatele, WJR RAdio, Celldweller, Regina Belle, Martha Reeves, The Edge, Paul Dozier, Mark Farner, Donnie Lyle, Jimmy Romeo, Jody Raffoul, Ray Burton, David Lee Spradly, and Bob Birch. Lesperance was featured in Modern drummer in May 1999.



Terry Lesparance names Bob Seger's first drummer Charley Allan Martin as very inspirational:

"Charley was paralyzed by a car accident, but his love for life showed me more than any drum clinic or band could ever show. He has a great attitude!"

Terry Lesparance is currently touring with Claudia DiNatele, recording and touring with Celldweller and recording with Jody Raffoul. Comments Terry:
