Born in 1962 in Detroit, Michigan, USA, Roxy Petrucci drummed in Vixen, the "female equivalent of Bon Jovi", specialized in four-minute pop-rock anthems and the occasional obligatory power-ballad. Petrucci also played with Madam X and Lorraine Lewis (ex-Femme Fatale).



From a musical Italian, Catholic family, her father was a saxophone player and she picked up the clarinet, flute, guitar, saxophone, bass and of course drums. She worked at Big Boy for about a week, attended Oakland University at Michigan, taught music lessons and sold guitars to dealers by phone.



Stated playing clubs with a band at 18, which went on the road as Madam X playing the U.S., England and Scotland, splitting up after several years on the road. She got engaged at 19, but it didn't last long, she "gave it up for rock and roll." Then Vixen sent her a tape and she joined them.



Her favourite drummers are Carmine Appice, Terry Bozio, Tommy Aldridge, John Bonham and Lenny White.



Currently (early 2004) Roxy is still up to some rock 'n roll. In an interview on Metal-sludge.com (24 Februay 2004), Roxy reveils:

"On the creative front, I've been recording some heavy stuff with Maxine in addition to a European project with Janet and Gina called V3 with release dates later this year. Other than that I'm the garage-kept '78 anniversary Corvette that's tuned and ready for some high performance. So dial-up my digits, I'll down some Red Bulls and I'm there!"
