Jon Larsen (Roskilde, 1970) plays drums in Danish metallers Volbeat. Previously he played in Moratorium and The Scent.



Volbeat inked a one-album deal with New Aeon Media, a subsidiary of Holland's Karmageddon Media, in April 2004. The group recorded their debut album with producer Jacob Hansen (Raunchy, Invocator). The band's line-up at the time was completed by Michael Poulsen (ex-Dominus) - Guitar/Vocals, Teddy Vang (ex-Post, Common Delution) – Guitar and Anders Kjølholm (ex-Pink Apple, Dominus, No Solution) – Bass.



Volbeat's last release was a six-song promotional CD/demo, entitled "Beat the Meat".



Jon Larsen names Ringo Starr and Dave Lombardo as inspirational drummers.
