James Taylor is an award-winning entrepreneur, creativity expert, marketer and musician. He is the founder of The Creativity Academy, The Music Business Institute and P3 Music. His programs, online courses, events and consulting services have helped individuals, corporations, governments, and non-profits around the world generate millions of dollars in revenues. As a pioneering digital gypsy he divides his time between the Europe, North America and Asia.

CREATIVITY EXPERT
As a creativity expert Taylor is a frequent guest speaker at universities and international conferences. He has given keynotes and talks at Apple, Subscription Site Summit in San Francisco, the British Music Show in the UK and at several universities across Europe including University of Dundee in Scotland and University of Macerata in Italy. He is often called upon by media outlets to give his views on trends in creativity and innovation. He has been quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle, Miami Herald, Columbus Dispatch, STV, Business Insider and San Jose Mercury News as well as featured on BBC TV and being the subject of a 30minute program on his life for BBC Radio Scotland. ENTREPRENEUR
James Taylor is a serial entrepreneur with over 20 years experience working with startups and global corporations. By the age of 21 he had already negotiated deals with consumer products giants including Sony, Bertlesmann and Yamaha. TaylorÂ’s first business became one of ScotlandÂ’s largest music companies encompassing record labels, artist management, talent booking and music publishing. With Top 10 albums in the USA and UK, sell-out arena tours and placements on movies, hit shows and TV adverts for global brands Taylor grew the company to where it had distribution in over 23 countries. He also found time to fulfill roles as chairman for an industry association, specialist advisor to a government agency, trustee of an arts charity and complete a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). In 2007 Taylor decided to sell a large stake in the music company to a private equity firm, which allowed him to pursue other business interests in California in the technology, media, publishing and education fields. Since then he has launched and developed nineteen online learning businesses, advised high-growth internet startups in Silicon Valley and created a consumer product brands in Asia.

He is a member of Martin Taylor’s Spirit of Django, which won Best Group at the 1997 British Jazz Awards. In 2008 he was recognized for his ‘Outstanding Service to Jazz Education’ at the International Association of Jazz Educators.
