Drummer David Robinson played in the Massachusetts bands The Modern Lovers and The Cars. Robinson was born and raised in Woburn, Massachusetts, attending Woburn High School.



When The Cars reformed in 2005 with a revamped lineup calling themself The New Cars, David Robinson was no part. He was replaced by new drummer Prairie Prince.
