Rather than being just a drummer, Ryan Hoyle strives to be a creative force emanating from behind his instrument. His versatility lies in his belief that various musical genres are merely a reflection of the countless moods in the human experience. Through the uniqueness of his own life's journey, he has developed the ability to recognize the underlying emotions present in different genres and aims to convey these feelings musically. Composing and performing music is a fast-paced release of passion for this accomplished artist.



An extraordinary musician from the Pacific Northwest, Ryan began drumming at the age of eight. Five years later, he landed his first gig with Christian recording artist Gary Moreno. This three year long relationship yielded three recordings, a number of regional tours, a Pacific Coast tour, and performances at the Yakima Sun Dome before audiences as large as 5,000. Concurrently, Ryan was also in high demand; gigging, recording, and touring with numerous other Christian artists such as: Kyle Rassmussen, Chris Hansler, Cory Knowland, and Gary Kahn. Shortly thereafter, Hoyle began to study with longtime Bruce Hornsby drummer John Molo and was voted Most Outstanding Musician by the students and staff at Auburn High School.



Ryan relocated to Denton, Texas, where he quickly capitalized on the experience he gained while studying Percussion Performance at the University of North Texas. After touring with the U.N.T. Fusion Lab Band, The Zebras, both Modern Drummer and Drum! Magazine highlighted Ryan for his live and studio performances with some of Texas' biggest acts including Dallas Brass and Electric, Emerald City, Joytown, M-80's, and Le Freak.



Beginning at the age of twenty, Ryan enjoyed the distinct privilege of being a full-time member of Le Freak, the highest profile show band in Texas. For the next three and a half years, Ryan began playing worldwide to audiences as large as 25,000. Their grueling schedule not only included at least 230 shows per year but a very hectic promotional agenda as well. This four man media wrecking crew dominated Texas airwaves with a relentless barrage of radio advertising, live televised performances, and a series of cable television commercials. For Ryan, Le Freak served as a non-stop flight to the forefront of the Texas music scene and provided him with a wealth of experience to take with him to the next level.



Ryan now resides in Nashville, Tennessee, where he continues to expand his horizons with a career as a well established session drummer. A combination of professionalism, personality, the right tools, and the attitude of 110 percent dedication to each song have landed Ryan in the session hotseat of some of the biggest writers/producers in Music City. When asked about the future, he stated,

"My ultimate goal is simple. For every day that I'm alive on this planet I want to continue to learn so that someday I might make music to my full potential."
