John Thomson hosted the Remo Drummer Night 2017. As one of Brittain's best comedians and actors, he was also part of the artists on stage during the Remo evening on the first day of The UK Drum Show. Representing Remo, Sakae and Zildjian, he played Incognito's superhit Always There with the UK All Star band put together by Karl Brazil.
He co-hosted the 2012 Buddy Rich 25th Anniversary Memorial Show with Buddy Rich's daughter Cathy Rich, as well as playing a song with the Buddy Rich Big Band.
