The Killers initially used to practice in Ronnie Vannucci's garage.

But their working schedules made it difficult to rehearse at his home, so they would unlawfully enter the percussion room at their local university. Admits Ronnie:

"We used to break into Ham Hall at the University of Las Vegas to practice there. We'd break into the percussion room, use all the stuff, and carefully put everything back. We practiced for hours. I can remember writing Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll and Somebody Told Me in that room."

The Killers no longer have to enter the building by illicit means as Ronnie was presented with the keys to the building when he received his diploma at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, earlier this year. Ronnie:

"Now we can go in any time we want."
