"Some shows again, even with Genesis. Everything is possible... We could tour in Australia and South America. We haven't been there yet."
One of the world's best-selling music artists with an estimated fortune of £115 million ($ 157.5 million USD), Phil Collins announced his retirement from music in 2011 to focus on his family life. He explained he stopped to be a full-time father to his two young sons on a daily basis.
Phil joined Genesis in 1970 as the group's drummer and became their vocalist in 1975 following the departure of their original front man Peter Gabriel.
To facilitate Phil delivering lead vocals during concerts, Bill Bruford and Chester Thompson played drums for the band on tour, with Phil joining in during lengthy instrumental passages.
In the 1980s and '90s Phil became a solo star with hits such as In the Air Tonight, Against All Odds, and Another Day in Paradise..
Phil hasn't released an album of original material since 2002's 'Testify'. In 2007 he reunited with Genesis for a successful 47-date tour of Europe and North America.
Phil fulfilled his Atlantic record contact in 2010 with the Motown covers album 'Going Back' and has been largely absent from the scene ever since.
Nerve damage has made it virtually impossible for him to play drums.
