Two age divisions will include 14–17 years of age at time of entry deadline (May 15, 2010), and 18–22 years of age at time of entry deadline (May 15, 2010).

Two finalists will be selected from each age category in each style category for a total of 12 finalists. All finalists will compete at the 2010 Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC), taking place November 10-13 in Indianapolis, IN.

Winners from each style category and age division will receive $1,000. Selected finalists will have their PASIC registration fee waived and are responsible for covering all other financial commitments (room, board, travel).

Judges
All judges for the drumset competition are professional artists and considered masters of their musical style. Preliminary and final judges are subject to change without notice. Preliminary round judges include:
