Ronn is planning to produce another line of snares under this name, with some of the excellent design attributes of the original George Way drums.

Expect some drums with a great vintage vibe and a nice, warm articulate sound within the near future.

About George Way Drums
George H. Way, whose illustrious career spanned over 50 years, started in the drum industry in 1912 at the age of 21, producing drums in Edmonton, Alberta.

George is celebrated as one of the most important innovator of his time. He lent his genius to many venerable American drum companies including Leedy, Ludwig, Slingerland and Rogers.

George's inventions include the free floating snare drum, the self-aligning lug, the parallel snare strainer and he was the first designer to use ball bearings in a bass drum pedal. Says Ronn:

"As a forward thinking product designer George Way has always been a great personal inspiration to me. At the time of Mr. Way's passing in 1969 it was his final wish that his business be carried on in the tradition of high quality products and customer service that he established. I consider it not only an honor, but my duty to continue and to build on his great legacy."
