Aaron Spears turned 43 the day before the Bag'Show festival took place on 27 October 2019. The festival that is held in the beautiful Le Trianon theater in Paris - built in 1894, has all their soundchecks done the day before the show. And that is when we asked Aaron for a 1-minute moment, because it's celebration time!

In 2019, La Baguetterie, the famous drum store in Paris, celebrated their 40th anniversary with a spectacular festival line-up for their annual Bag'Show. The 18th edition of the festival had an almost impossible line-up featuring all the corners of contemporary music. From new & experimental (Daru Jones) to punk / metal & improv (Aric Improta & Luke Holland) to the redefining new musical levels of Jazz+Arts drummer Mark Guiliana.

Cool factoids

• Rolling Stones-drummer Charlie Watts still has cymbals in his setup that he bought at La Baguetterie.
  
• Back in the day, Picasso visited the Le Trianon theater and drew portraits of many of the habitués (visitors).
  
• Le Trianon is just a 5-minute walk from The Moulin Rouge, which is located in the same street.
  
• La Baguetterie was founded in 1979 by Philippe Lalite and the store is still moving forward and upward by his son Thierry Lalite - and also just a 5-minute walk from the Moulin Rouge.
  
• Philippe also has his private drum brand Lalite Drums.
  
• 13-year old drummer Mimiche played these Lalite drum at the Bag'Show this year.
