With their Sound Lap Project (S.L.P.) snares, Tama has started a whole new approach that focuses on the key component of the drum set for every drummer: the snare drum. The drum company developed eight different snares to provide drummers with the best possible instrument to play their music. At Winter NAMM 2012, Tama showcased these new S.L.P. snares, introduced to you by Jeroen Bakx, drums specialist in the Benelux for Tama's mother company Hoshino Gakki, Ltd. In the accompanying videos from Tama you learn up close about these different snare drums.
Besides the full insight in the brand new S.L.P. snare drums, the introduction video gives you the new Metalworks and Starphonic snares. Not to mention the new John Blackwell signature snare, the prototype of the John Dolmayan signature snare and two redesigned Mike Portnoy signature snares with a neat purple touch.
Terry Bissette, Tama's Division Manager in the United states gives you the initial heads up on S.L.P. Tama artist Joe Bergamini plays, talks and shows you around the Sound Lab Project snares. Enough said, let's get introduced to Tama's NAMM exhibits and dive deep into the S.L.P. snare series.
