Muziekcentrale Adams in Diest has announced the first confirmed artist for their yearly Drummersfestival, which will take place on April 5, 2009 in Diest, Belgium. Acclaimed drummer Will Calhoun will perform at the Belgian festival. More artists will be announced soon.

Will Calhoun graduated from the Berklee School of Music in Boston. In the nineties he rose to fame with Living Colour. The group scored hits with songs like Love Rears Its Ugly Head and Solace Of You.
But this drummer can and does much more. He played with many other artists, including Dr. John, BB King, Public Enemy en Wayne Shorter to name but a few. More recently he worked with hiphop artist Mos Def.
Will\'s latest solo album, \'Native Lands\' (featuring Nana Vasconcelos on percussion), was released in 2005.
Will Calhoun plays Mapex drums, Sabian cymbals, Remo drumheads and Vic Firth sticks.
Drum clinic as warming up To warm up for Drummersfestival 2009, Adams teamed up with Sabian and invited P!nk drummer Mark Schulman for an exclusive drum clinic.
Mark will share his knowledge and experience on February the 25th at the Muziek\'O\'Droom in Hasselt, Belgium. Doors open at 19.00, the clinic starts at 20.00. Entrance is € 5.
Besides working with P!ink, Mark Schulman has drummed for Sheryl Crow, Foreigner, Stevie Nicks, Destiny\'s Child, Billy Idol, and Velvet Revolver.
