US company DAP have added a new series of ear plugs to their brand Hearos: the Skull Screws. The specialized plugs are designed for anyone who is subjected to loud noise on a regular basis - namely engineers, producers and most of all drummers.

The key to Skull Screws is said to be their ease of use. It’s often the need to fiddle around that lead to people just ‘not bothering’ protecting their hearing with ear plugs. But using Skull Screws is said to be extremely simple. Made from flexible foam, they’re easily inserted into the ear with a slight twist.
Similar to sun tan lotion’s SPF or Sun Protection Factor, the NRR tells you how many decibels you can expect the products to reduce. Once in place they offer a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 30dB, fully tested to ANSI specifications.
Skull Screws are re-usable, washable and come with a container featuring the Skull Screws logo. Hearos Skull Screws are available for at your local dealer.
