Tama has updated their Iron Cobra and Speed Cobra pedals. Around November 2015 the new bass kickers will be available at your local dealers. Although some of the features are incorporated in both pedals, they still have their unique and different feel when playing them. The new series are identified by the Iron Cobra 900 Series and the Speed Cobra 910 Series. Below are all the details. Power-Strike Cobra Beater To provide a fatter sound and optimized beater action without delaying impact.
Swivel Spring Tight Enables the spring tension post to swivel, allowing freer spring movement and a much smoother feel.
Hinge Guard Block New separate 3-piece hinge construction for greater durability.
Super Stabilizer Design A wider baseplate and frame design for increased stability.
Para Clamp II Pro The Para Clamp II Pro features rubber to firmly attach the pedal to the hoop and also prevents scratching.
Lite Sprocket The Lite Sprocket adopts the "LiteSprocket" design from the Speed Cobra pedals for a more natural feel and smoother action. Tama claims it to be 40% lighter than the previous Iron Cobra cam.
