According to a lawyer for the companies, the terms of the settlement are confidential.
Ironically, after DJ AM had survived the plane crash, he died nearly one year later of a drug overdose.
A toxicology report showed he had a lethal cocktail of prescription drugs and cocaine in his system.
Thrust reversers The Learjet in which the drummer and the dj were travelling left the runway on take-off in Columbia, South Carolina, on 19 September 2008 and crashed on a nearby road.
Travis sued the companies, including tyre firm Goodyear and the plane\'s owners, saying they had failed to properly maintain and operate the Learjet.
The case had been delayed until an investigation was completed by the National Transportation Safety Board.
It found that thrust reversers - devices on the back of jet engines to slow down planes or force them backwards - were not in the right position.
