Master Percussionist Pete Lockett Announces Retirement on Drummerszone.com
A 35-year journey across the planet and among the stars
Big update on my youtube channel. Since retiring I have continued to get many music related questions by email via my website. These cover everything from career and study choices, technique and practice things, set ups, self promotion, Indian rhythm, Kanjira, split hand technique and much more besides.
I have been fairly diligent in replying to most questions. However, I feel a better way forward is to post replies as videos on my youtube channel. The channel has been growing so much since covid, even though I never posted anything for years. I had left it as mainly an archive resource and recently started adding to that content. So, in a nutshell, email me your questions.
My website link is in my channel bio. Note that comments are turned off on my videos so I will only be able to receive questions via email.
The other big news is that I am going to start uploading lots of new lesson content. Beginners and advanced material and mostly stuff I have never published online or in books. I will also look at content from my books, making it clearer with detailed videos. Please do like and subscribe here so you can keep updated with the new lessons. I am recording from Jan 2025 onwards so should start to get some decent stuff uploaded soon after that. Other than that, I still remain retired from commercial recording and performance.
