Cubadisco Award
First we celebrate. With four nominations, Horacio has won the Cubadisco Award Jazz category with the Big Band album. Winning a Cubadisco Award is virtually the Cuban equivalent of winning a Grammy. Besides the awards event, Cubadisco is also a week-long music festival that celebrates Cuban music. It is held in Havana City, Cuba and was established in 1997.

Italuba Big Band.... the album with more nominations (4) to the awards cubadisco 2019!... what an illusion..... for me, the most important prize of my whole career...... millions of thanks to all Those involved.... long live bismusic, long live Cuban music!

The Vizcaíno family
There are 10 tracks on the album and dvd that last for over an hour. The dvd has extras as well. Very cool on this recording sessions is that both Roberto Vizcaíno and his equally talented son take care of the percussion in a ridiculous good form.

The tracks, as you can hear on the album and in the videos below, show that the diversity and master drum skills of "El Negro" are still on the highest level of where musicianship can go.
