Not only did Roland launch the three new TD-17 V-Drums, and new TD-25 and TD-50 upgrades, but in the evening, during the launch of their Los Angeles Artist Relations Center, the company also had no one less than the legendary Vinnie Colaiuta on stage.

And it was not a demo, he played a full concert as if he was a long-time experienced Roland virtuoso on several of the instruments in the Roland drums and percussion department.

Vinnie Colaiuta - first Roland live show (excerpt)
In a few days we will publish the first amazing videos of his performance at the new Roland Artist Relations Center, located at Roland's U.S. headquarters in Los Angeles, CA.
For now, here is a raw and uncut one-minute sample of his first Roland live show, ever!

With the help of Roland artist, drummer and singer/songwriter Jordan West, it only took Vinnie 5 days to learn, work and program the Roland instruments. And if Vinnie can nail it that fast, everyone can!

Roland went live on Facebook for the kick-off for the #TotallyDrums Event on May 8th, 2018. Brand new V-Drums were introduced live on Facebook.

Drummerszone was kindly invited to join the day and the party in the evening. All our coverage and in dept videos of the new Roland V-Drums instruments will be online soon.

Before Vinnie Colaiuta showed his newly acquired skills on his Roland gear, the evening started with performances from Michael Schack, Jordan West and Luke Holland.

Roland already has artist relations centers in Vancouver and Toronto, Canada, in Berlin, Germany, and in Tokyo, Japan.
"It is the goal of Roland and BOSS to support our family of artists on a multitude of levels. We have a special passion for these artists - both emerging and established - and with the opening of this new Artist Relations Center in L.A., we look forward to broadening our activities in regards to the content we can create together."
