In January 2014 it was obvious Billy Cobham had returned to the Tama family when playing at the Tama 40th Anniversary show at NAMM. After many years of playing other brands, Tama welcomes the legend in a special video with Billy Cobham talking about his return and relation with the Japanese drum manufacturer. Billy Started playing Tama in the 1970s, when he basically invented Fusion and Jazz Rock with musical legends like Miles Davis, George Duke and many others. He co-founded the legendary Mahavishnu Orchestra in 1971 with guitarist John McLaughlin.
