Parker replaces regular drummer Jason Bonham, son of legedary Led Zeppelin skinbasher John \"Bonzo\" Bonham.
Andy Parker (photo from 1971) started UFO, originally known as Hocus Pocus, in 1969. After their 1983 album \"Making Contact\" UFO dissolved.
The band reformed two years later for \"Misdemeanor\". However, Parker was absent on this release and instead ex-Magnum drummer Jim Simpson was featured. The album was met with little response and again UFO called it quits.
In 1993, Parker and the other musicians renuited and recorded the 1995 album \"Walk on Water\". After a tour, the members yet again went their separate ways. Despite the disband, UFO reissued \"Making Contact\" in 2000 through Spitfire Records. It featured veteran drummer Aynsley Dunbar.
\"Showtime\", a live UFO CD and DVD, will be released in November through SPV. \"Showtime\" is a 2 CD/DVD set. Disc 1 was recorded at Pumpwerk in Wilhelmshaven, Germany on May 13, 2005. Disc 2 contains the Peppermint Park Studio Session, May 26th, 2005. The release features Jason Bonham.
