Willem van Kruijsdijk is proud to be a self-taught man and founder of Slagerij Van Kampen, composer of most of the titles.



After being kicked out of bands as a 'too creative drummer', he decided to form a band with just drums, any kind of drums from any place on the planet or beyond.



He plays acoustic and electronic drums with sticks, some mallet instruments and all kind of hand percussion like djembé and darabukka, sings (when necessary) and occasionally flirts with wind instruments.



Willem loves all music with a certain amount of 'blackness' (like Jazz), also cats, Spanish wine and garlic. He collects live bamboo plants, because 'bamboo has magic'. He hates prejudice (mainly his own)
