Vinnie Fiorello plays in US punkrock band Less Than Jake. He started at age sixteen to learn Slayer songs. Previously to Less Than Jake Vinnie was in a band called No Fraud, a band called Needless Guilt and a band called Good Grief (Both with LTJ-member Chris). He also played in Fueled by Ramen and two metal bands, but only for a short while.



When asked about his favourite drummer in an interview Vinnie states:

"I really don't have any. The only thing that is close, it's not even being about a drummer. It's a guy who is a drummer and writes lyrics for bands he's in. He does a zine and things like that. It's Aaron Cometbus from Crimpshrine and Pinhead Gunpowder. As far as inspiration goes, it's an inspiration as a person not as a drummer. I'm not one of those guys who say I love different drummers because of how rad they are on drums. I've never been the tech guy. I never had that in me at all."

Biography:

Band member, label owner, and entrepreneur, Vinnie Fiorello doesn't know how to sit still. Drummer and founder of multi-platinum selling ska-punk band Less Than Jake, he toured the world countless times from small venues to massive festivals and saw the industry from the eyes of an artist.



Taking that knowledge and experience, he co-founded the seminal artist-friendly label Fueled By Ramen, nurturing such household names as Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World and Yellowcard. Now, as Vinnie Fiorello gears up for the next round of Less Than Jake, he and the band have taken control of their careers and exited Major Label-dom on their own terms. Creating their own label, Sleep It Off, they will release future albums and re-release their back-catalogue... Exactly the way they want to do it.



Ever the multi-tasker, Vinnie's also busy planting the seed for his next label venture, Paper & Plastick, setting up a garden for him to grow the next batch of rock household names.
