Tomas Asklund has been playing drums in Dawn since 1999. He also drummed with Blackmoon, Entranced, Infernal plus Necromicon. Thomas has been touring extensively with Dark Funeral.



In October 2004 Dissection announced Tomas Asklund as their new drummer. He replaced Bård "Faust" Eithun, who had left December 2003 over "the demands of Dissection's Satanic concept". Tomas Asklund was first featured on Dissection's comeback single/EP, "Maha Kali", released November 2004.



In 2010 Tomas Asklund drummed on Gorgoroth's ninth album, 'Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt'. The cd was recorded at Tomas Asklund's Monolith Studio.
