Sean Carey is the drummer, background vocalist, and pianist for Grammy nominated band Bon Iver.



Also Sean Carey was once a notable drum instructor at Morgan Music in Bon Iver's root town of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.



While Bon Iver was still unknown to many people, Sean Carey studied the drum parts to the songs that were on the Myspace page. After hours alone with headphones as his only partner, Sean Carey had mastered the entire set list. After presenting his work to the founding member Justin Vernon, he was accepted as the drummer for Bon Iver.
