Russ Prager has been playing professionally since he was 19. He was in the only American band in Panama while in the service, and later, he went on the road with a band and played country and classic rock, all over the western US and Canada for about four years.
Russ Prager then started his own tour band after moving to Reno, Nevada and played cabarets and clubs. When his daughters were born he stopped touring and only played in bands on weekends.
In 2003, Russ Prager broke the Guinness World Record™ for Marathon Endurance Drumming, exercising both physically and mentally.
On March 9, 2009 Russ Prager started a 5 day quest to set his third world record for Marathon Endurance Drumming.
Russ says that having an audience is essential to what he does as the energy of the crowd helps keep him going!
Russ Prager's earliest influences were Keith Moon, Ginger Baker, and Mitch Mitchell. Today he really likes Danny Carey of Tool.
