Robb Reiner (Toronto, 1958) is long-time drummer in Canadian speed metal pioneers Anvil. In April of 1973 Steve "Lips" Kudlow and Robb Reiner began their journey for fame and fortune on the long hard road of rock music.
Robb Reiner started playing at age twelve: "I took jazz lessons as a young boy of 12 and studied drums at school in band class." Reiner names Buddy Rich, Ian Paice, Mick Tucker, Carmine Appice, Ginger Baker, Bill Ward, Gene Kruppa, John Bonham, Cozy Powell and Brian Downey as sources of musical inspiration. Says Reiner: "It’s how you play that counts not the drum kit."
