Rick Drumm (yes, that's his real name), once a teen-age drumming contest winner, inherited his father's love of music. His father established Ronnie Drumm's House of Music and Rick spent must of his childhood in the store and playing drums with his father’s many bands and combos.
Rick Drumm toured with his father in the 1970s with the circus, which is where Rick began his relationship with the staff at Remo as he tested new products on the road for the drumhead maker.
When Rick Drumm got off the road he worked in the corporate office at Remo before becoming the president of MIDCO, Vic Firth and D'Addario.
Throughout his career Rick Drumm has shown great respect to those whom he learned from and who mentored him in his early days within the industry.
Rick is also an accomplished drummer and has done it all from drumming in a 60-piece Youth Band as a teenager to playing in the U.S. Air Force Band, as well as performing in over 1000 shows with The Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus. Growing up, Rick Drumm studied drums with Ed Shaughnessy, drummer for the Tonight Show and also studied with Sonny Igoe, CBS staff musician for the Ed Sullivan and Jackie Gleason shows.
In January of 2014, following his eight year tenure at D'addario, Rick Drumm founded Traction Business Coaching, a business-coaching firm that specializes in helping small- and medium-sized business owners and entrepreneurs unleash transformational growth potential in their company.
