René Spierings is a member of Percossa since 1989. From the beginning René has pushed to make Percossa a very theatrical percussion group.

His music for Percossa ussually has an ethnic touch which stems from experiences on his travels through Africa. He was struck by the exuberance with which people perform there. René Spierings is also managing Percossa.
