Though Burst originally formed as a punk rock band in 1993, they remained a relatively dormant entity until 1999, at which point the musicians had arrived at an entirely more explorative and metallic musical direction.
In 2004 Patrik Hultin joined grind-noise outfit Anatomi-71. Using the moniker Putta, he replaced a drum machine.
