Patrick Grün (Koblenz, 1975) plays drums in German metallers Caliban. He joined in 2005, replacing Robert Krämer.



Patrick Grün started playing drums at age thirteen. He names Dave Lombardo (Slayer), and Joey Jordison (Slipknot) as sources of musical inspiration. Says Grün:

"I didn´t get lessons. I did everything by my own. Just watched other drummers play and did learning by doing."

Prior to Caliban, Patrick played with Pyracanda, G-Reizzt, SuperFly 69 (they were the official single track for a German movie called "Was nicht passt, wird passend gemacht"), and Six Reasons To Kill.



Patrick Grün currently plays Pearl Masters MMX in diamond burst, black hardware, Paiste Rude Cymbals, Pearl Eleminator pedals and Nova sticks.
