Mike Baker got his first gig when he was eleven years old at his local church. Since then he's been playing throughout LA and beyond with national and international acts, sharing stages with the likes of Zachary Provost (MD for Josh Groban), Victor Orlando, Rickey Rouse, and Sharlotte Gibson, as well as various singer/songwriters and worship teams.
Mentored by Joe Porcaro, Mike Baker is handling an ever-increasing schedule of recording sessions, local gigs and tour dates.
Biography:
Originally from San Diego, CA, an eleven year-old Michael Baker began performing in his local church before moving to Los Angeles to pursue his passion for music. Mikey B's talents allowed him to immediately start working as a session drummer and as a performer on the very competitive L.A. club scene. Mikal Blue, a producer for pop singer/songwriter, Colbie Caillat, discovered Baker and brought him in to record with Caillat.
After several world tours, network television appearances, and recording sessions, Mike Baker's talents were requested by the new chart-topping guitar sensation, Orianthi, who's work with Michael Jackson gained worldwide attention, as well as her appearances in the critically acclaimed film, "This Is It."
Michael Baker has played with Sharlotte Gibson, Victor Orlando, Lucy Lawless, Jenni Alpert, Amber Rubarth, Tim Fagan, David Hasselhoff, Lucy Lawless and Dave Delhomme. He recorded with Mikal Blue, Rick Holbrook, Erin Workman, Rob Michaels, Jon Wadley Band, Samantha Lane, and America's Funniest Home Videos.
