Originally from Edenton, N.C., Martin Parker is a drummer and percussionist who spent most of his professional music career in Nashville, Tennessee.
Martin Parker played locally in garage bands with "Moon" in high school, as well as many other local musicians.
Martin Parker relocated to Nashville in the early 1970s to make it in the music scene. As luck would have it, he ended up performing with many great artists including Ricky Scaggs, Vince Gill, Earl Scruggs, Patti Loveless, and Allison Krauss, to name a few.
In August 2015 Martin Parker suffered a severe stroke. For several weeks he was at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville until he passed away early Thursday, September 20, 2015.
