Justin Guip is probably best known as the recording and mixing talent of Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, home of the Midnight Ramble.
Clients include The Band, Muddy Waters, Elvis Presley Band (Scotty Moore, DJ Fontana & Bill Blacks), Keith Richards, Dr. John, John Hiatt, Eric Clapton, Steve Jordan, The Black Crowes, and Elvis Costello among others.
Justin Guip recorded, mixed and produced Levon Helm's Grammy award winning 'Dirt Farmer' album.
Justin Guip also plays drums. He drummed on Jorma Kaukonen's 'River of Time', Graham Isaacson's 'Memories in Shadows', 700 Miles' '700 Miles', Rachid's 'Prototype', John Carlin's 'Songs from the Black House', Mike Ladd's 'Vernacular Homicide' and Chris Robertson's 'Here We Are' among others.
In December 2010 Justin Guip stepped in for Levon Helm at Midnight Ramble's house concert at Levon Helm Studios, after Levon Helm was hospitalized.
