Joris Nijenhuis is known as drummer in Grinroth, Rendak, Havenblasters, Elexorien and Dr Doom.



Nijenhuis names Gene Hoglan, Richard Christy, Derek Roddy, Tony Laureano, sir Proscriptor, Sean Reinert and Kai Hahto as musical influences. Says Joris Nijenhuis: "I'm playing drums for over seven years now. The first year's I took drumlessons on the local music school. I've learned all the basics, such as good technique and different musicstyles like funk and blues. I started playing with a twin pedal after I first heard Fear Factory. After that I started learning blastbeats and kept on practising extreme metal drumming."
