Jonathan "Buth" Norton has over 42 years of experience playing drums and percussion. He founded the band Eels in 1995 and has worked with Fiona Apple, Aimee Mann, Rufus Wainwright, Tracy Chapman, T-Bone Burnett, Lisa Germano, The Dust Brothers and many more. Butch has worked all over the world playing every style imaginable, in the studio and live.



Butch Norton hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. Currently he lives and works in So-Cal where he thrives with his family.



In a landmark decision Butch has agreed to open his drum studio, and heart, to those who wish to further their creative endeavors on the drums.



2006 saw the release of Buth Norton's solo album, "Butch Beats - Original Drum Breaks Vol. I", a compilation of beats and styles for use in the studio, to practice with, or scratch.
