Joey Daub was one of the founders of and drummer in Believer. Joey Daub also plays drums in Fountain of Tears.



No stranger to the musician community, Joey Daub has been playing drums for more than 19 years. Along with his drumming, Joey is also involved in engineering and production work for his projects as well as many others.



In 1986, Joey Daub formed the renouned metal band Believer along with friend Kurt Bachman. Signed to an independent label in the late 80’s, they released their debut album, “Extraction from Mortality”, on R.E.X. Music.



Achieving a very receptive response from the Christian community, Believer's reputation spread to the mainstream and stirred interest from metal label, Roadrunner. The interest Roadrunner showed resulted in signing the band. Believer's second album, “Sanity Obscure”, was released on both Roadrunner and R.E.X. Believer toured the United States and Europe in support of the record, gaining even more fans. The third and final Believer album, “Dimensions”, was released in the early 90’s and received a Dove nomination in the, “best metal album of the year”, category.



After the mutual dispansion of Believer, Daub played drums on a variety of studio tracks for friend and producer Ted Hermanson.



Upon receiving a call in ’96 from Erik Ney, former bassist from the band Sacrament, Daub was asked to write a few drum parts for a mainstream project called, Fountain of Tears. After writing and recording for some time, the band released an EP. Receiving great response from all over the world, FoT decided to take the project and refine it into an official band.



In late 2002, FoT found singer Vonnie King to fill the vocal position for the current line up ( replacing vocalist Anna DeRose ).



Daub is currently performing with FoT and writing for their first full length release. Also in progress is an instrumental side project, Year of Plenty, with FoT keyboardist, Jeff King.
