Jeff Rich drummed in Status Quo. He joined Status Quo in 1986 together with bassist John "Rhino" Edwards on a full time basis in 1985 just after the "Live Aid" concert. Rich took over as Pete Kircher had decided to part ways with the band.
Rich is a very experienced session musician and has played with such bands as Billy J Kramer & the Dakotas, Stretch, the Jackie Lynton Band. He has worked also with Rhino Edwards in Judie Tzukes backing band and the Climax Blues band.
Jeff also helped Rick Allen out after he lost an arm in his recovery to play with Def Leppard. Jeff runs his own Drum Clinics around the country when Quo are not touring and also plays with Rhino in the part-time band Four Bills and a Ben.
Jeff decided to leave Status Quo in 2000, after 15 years of touring and recording. He was replaced by Matt Letley. Nowadays Jeff Rich concentrates full time on presenting masterclasses on schools.
