JC Dwyer (Houston, Texas, 1971) played in Florida's Paingod (initially named Raped Ape). Under the moniker of Paingod the band put a track on Metal Blade's "Metal Massacre 12" compilation. A deal followed with Century Media for a 1997 eponymous debut.
JC Dwyer joined Gonemad in late 1996, right out of Paingod. He toured the US extensively with Gonemad in 2000, following several independent releases. Gonemad was actually more of a modern rock outfit, not very hardcore at all. Then the drummer moved to Pittsburgh, where he formed Soulbent in 2002 and became their frontman.
In 2003 Dwyer hooked up with Pro-Pain and is still with them now.
