Jazz drummer Erik Kooger plays with singer Rita Reys, Michiel Borstlap & Gino Vannelli among others.



Kooger started playing drums at age 11. He played his first professional gig when he was 15. From 1990 till 1996 he studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague in Holland.



From there on he toured and played all over Holland and Europe with great musicians like Teddy Edwards, Ingrid Jensen, Scott Hamilton, Ack van Rooyen, Deborah Carter, Don Braden, Hans and Candy Dulfer, David Berkman, Frits Landesbergen, Madeline Bell, The European Jazz Project, Edsilia Rombley, Michiel Borstlap.



In 2007 he toured with the Gino Vannelli / Michiel Borstlap Band.
