Dennis Ekdahl started playing drums at age six. He names Dave Lombardo, Vinnie Paul and Igor Cavallera as inspirational artists. Explains the drummer:

"I started to play metal when I was fourteen and I've been active ever since. I´ve recorded ten albums so far and played on a lot of demos to be able to develop my drumming."

Ekdahl joined Mystic Prophecy in 2000 and played drums with them until early 2005. The band recruited former Primal Fear drummer Klaus Sperling to replace Dennis Ekdahl.



Previously Ekdahl played with Athela, Sins Of Omission, Mörk Gryning, Rutthna, Mortifer, Chrash Diet, and Mournful. His current main band is Raise Hell.



November 2007 saw melodic black metallers Siebenbürgen reform with Dennis Ekdahl on the drum stool.
