Darby Todd is a 28 year old professional drummer, born in London and currently based just outside London, although he is a dual national holding 2 passports (USA & UK).
Darby Todd has worked with some of the top freelance guys in the UK including bass players such as Winston Blissett, Derek McIntyre, Phil Mulford, Laurence Cottle, Neville Malcolm, Otto Williams and Derek Chai.
Darby Todd's drumming background ranges in terms of 'live' and in the studio from: jazz, funk, + blues, rock and pop. He has also worked on West End shows and has done television work at The BBC and Channel 4.
Currently touring the world with Devin Townsend, Darby adds musicality and excitement to any project he works with. Other drum credits include, The Darkness, Martin Barre, Alan Price, Gary Moore, Kee Marcello (Europe), Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Carl Verheyen, Robert Plant, Disney's The Lion King, Robben Ford, Paul Gilbert and many others. Darby is as comfortable playing jazz in a small jazz club as he is playing rock in an arena.
When not touring Darby can found in his London based studio remote recording for artists and bands around the world as well as a limited amount of teaching. He holds both UK and USA passports which makes working in America simple.
