Multi-instrumentalist Daniel Flores was born in Conception, Chile and moved to Stockholm, Sweden at the age of seven. At the age of ten he started to play the violin for a few years but then quitted for the lack of musical interest. By the age of sixteen he followed some friends to a studio just to check out the instruments, and when he tried the drums he knew instantly what he was going to do with his life. Daniel started to take drum lessons after four years of self-studying and started his first band called Afterglow. After studying music in high school he studied arranging and sound engineering at Stockholm music conservatory.
Flores is also known as drummer in X-Saviour and as a session musician. He is guest featured on the solo project of Yugoslav-born guitarist Marko Pavic, released in 2005. Pavic's core band consists of Adolfo Ramundo on drums. Flores also worked with Benny Jansson, Hubi Meisel (EmOcean), Tears Of Anger and Dutch guitar wizard Joop Wolters.
Previously he played in progressive metal band Mind's Eye and Zool. Daniel Flores also played in German based outfit Faro, the band led by the Sri Lankan born Avalon vocalist Chitral Somapala.
Daniel Flores made a guest appearance behind the kit for Italian power metallers Secret Sphere, recording the drum tracks on their album "Heart & Anger" (released in 2005). In September 2005 Federico Pennazzato joined the band as permanent drummer.
Flores also plays drums in Xsavior. He is featured on the "Caleidoscope" album which was released in 2005.
Flores names Phil Collins, Terry Bozzio, Mark Zonder, Neil Peart, Rod Morgenstein, Virgil Donatti and Jeff Porcaro as musical influences.
